🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation Guide: Teltonika FMC880

The FMC880 is a “Plug & Play” professional tracker. Follow these simple steps to get your vehicle online:

Step 1: Preparation

• Locate the Battery: Open your vehicle’s hood (or seat for motorcycles) to access the battery terminals.

• Clean the Surface: Wipe the top of the battery or a nearby flat surface with a dry cloth to ensure the adhesive tape sticks firmly.

Step 2: Connect the Wires

• 🔴 Red Wire (+): Connect the fork connector of the red wire to the Positive (+) terminal of the battery. Tighten the bolt to secure it.

• ⚫ Black Wire (-): Connect the fork connector of the black wire to the Negative (-) terminal of the battery. Tighten the bolt securely.

• Note: The device will power on immediately once connected.

Step 3: Secure the Device

• Mounting: Use the high-strength double-sided adhesive tape (included) or cable ties to fix the FMC880 firmly onto the battery or a flat plastic surface nearby.

• Orientation: For best results, ensure the Teltonika logo side is facing up (towards the sky) to provide the internal GNSS antenna with the best view.

Step 4: Verify Connection

• Check the LEDs: Look at the two status lights on the side of the device.

  • Status LED: Should blink regularly once the device is configured.

  • Navigation LED: Will blink when it has a solid GPS satellite lock.

Step 5: Close Up and Track!

• Ensure the wires are tucked away safely so they don’t interfere with the hood or other moving parts. Close the hood, and you are ready to track your vehicle via our FREE GPS Software!
